"Throughout the coaching process with Molly I feel that I resumed my recover. I was never open to reading any book about EDs but working in the 8 keys workbook with her really opened my eyes. I feel that Molly really tried to get to individualize her sessions with clients as she get to know them better. Personally, I work better with little tasks or goals. Every week we would set a mini challenge or goal (mostly not tied with food) and talk about it the following week.
I felt lost in my recovery and thought it was only about gaining weight but there is so much more!! I really feel like she understands and therefore it's easier to share my own experiences thoughts and behaviors."
"I was facing a possible return to intensive outpatient treatment when my dietician suggested a recovery coach that some of her other clients were seeing. She said the clients were having a positive experience and that she also was impressed when communicating about these shared clients. I'd never had a recovery coach before but was willing to try. From my first conversation with Molly, I knew adding her to my treatment team was the right decision. I felt seen, heard, and understood. When I struggle, it seems she is never at a loss for new ideas and approaches, and provides daily accountability, encouragement, and redirection when I feel defeated. She effectively utilizes her training while also offering just the right touch of personal experience when she feels it will be supportive and helpful. It's been a game changer to have someone available in between therapy sessions who also works with my therapist and dietician to make sure she is reinforcing and supporting my therapeutic goals. In addition to the text/email support, I look forward to our sessions where I can share what I felt was a failure only to have her so beautifully reframe the experience, help me do the same, and then assist in creating a plan going forward. She has provided support for everything from trying on clothes to tackling clutter while always starting with the basic foundations of nourishment, hydration, sleep, and movement. Most importantly, she is a safe space. In my experience, that is one of the greatest needs of anyone in recovery and one of the main reasons I'm able to get back up and keep trying every day. I'm so grateful to have her on my team."
